The Chicago Redhawks played their inaugural season in the Midwest Suburban League in 1999, founded by Redhawks legend Jason Yormark. Under Yormark, the Redhawks qualified for the playoffs 6 times, won 2 division titles, and won the 2004 AA championship. Yormark's team was built on professionalism, sportsmanship, competitiveness, and most importantly, having fun... a team philosophy that still lives on. Despite Yormark's retirement in 2005, the Redhawks continued their success under manager Karl Falkstrom, where he carried out the rich tradition reaching the AA championships in 2005, and two World Series Final-Four appearances in 2005 & 2007. Karl's 29-8 mark in 2005 still stands as the best record in Redhawks history, where he was the first manager to take the Redhawks to an undefeated 5-0 record in World Series Pool Play. In 2008, Falkstrom passed on the torch to the last remaining original member of the 1999 team, Tony Feo. In his first season as manager, Tony brought home the Redhawks first World Series title in 10 years by winning the MABL 18+ Central in 2008. Following a return to the AA division in 2009, Tony led the Redhawks to yet another division title, and a Final Four appearance after a 3-year playoff drought. With a solid 2009 season under their belts, the Redhawks will once again return to the MSL AAA National divison, where they hope to continue their success.
