| After a 7-3 start in their second season in AAA, the Redhawks were starting to return to their championship form like they did in '04-'05. The Redhawks lead the entire National League in runs scored and had proven to be a much improved team over 2006. Unfortunately for the Hawks, the pitching rotation was not very deep, and the runs allowed were creeping up. When the offense went cold, wins became tough to come by, assisted by mistakes on defense and inablity to hold early leads in games. In their first 10 games the Redhawks outscored their opponents 124-87, but in their last 12, they scored just 57 and allowed 110. With a combined 2-10 record in their final 12 games, the Redhawks saw all of their playoff hopes slip away. Failing to improve on their 2006 record, the Redhawks finished at 9-13 which was good for 7th place in the NL South. Click here to see the 2007 season recap... |
